Intake: Professional referral and clinical screening through Los Angeles County Housing for Health and the JWCH recuperative-care team; current operator reporting notes referrals may come from hospitals, psychiatric hospitals and rehabilitation treatment centers. This is not a walk-in shelter.. Eligibility: Women experiencing homelessness who are medically appropriate for recuperative care after acute medical, psychiatric or rehabilitation treatment and do not require inpatient hospitalization. Documents: Clinical discharge, referral and admission information required by Housing for Health and the admitting JWCH team. Accessibility: Secure clinically supported residential setting; confirm mobility and accommodation needs during referral. Published capacity: Los Angeles County 2025 program reporting lists 40 completed beds for women. HUD 2024 recorded 31 adult-only beds on inventory night. Neither figure is live vacancy.. Waitlist/availability: Professional referral, clinical review and placement according to current bed availability. Meals: Recuperative-care residential support includes meals; confirm current arrangements during admission. Case management: Individualized case management and supportive-services coordination. Housing navigation: Housing-resource connection and transition planning according to resident needs. Medical services: 24/7 nursing care, on-site medical providers and recuperative-care monitoring.
