family transitional living center. Serves Homeless families with children in Ventura County. Gender/access: Single adult men or women and married couples with children. Age: Adults age 18+ with children generally under age 12. Household eligibility: Families with children; unmarried couples cannot reside together. Intake: Call or email intake after reviewing eligibility; application includes screening and background checks. Eligibility: Adult applicant with children; no violent felony in the past three years; six months sober and active in a sobriety program; must obtain full-time employment within 30 days; family-size and domestic-violence safety rules apply. Documents: DOJ background check for all adult residents. Case management: Weekly case management, counseling and mentoring. Housing navigation: Employment, financial coaching, transportation and independent-living planning. Mental-health services: Individual and family therapy matched to resident needs.
