12-to-18-month family transitional housing and education program. Serves Homeless families pursuing higher education, vocational credentials, or work-related training. Gender/access: All parents and children. Age: Household must include at least one minor child under age 18. Household eligibility: Families with at least one minor child. Intake: Call 310-831-5729 for eligibility screening and enrollment. Eligibility: Homeless; at least one minor child; high-school diploma or GED; adult enrolled in college, trade school, or work-related training. Documents: Application; homelessness documentation; releases; adult ID; Social Security cards; child birth certificates; income proof; transcripts; class schedule; immunization record; TB test within 12 months. Published capacity: 24 apartments: 21 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom units. Waitlist/availability: Telephone screening and current availability determine placement. Meals: Food support is available. Laundry: Laundry room on each floor. Case management: Case management, financial management, life-skills seminars, tuition and textbook resources, childcare, counseling, and advocacy. Housing navigation: Permanent-housing resources, referrals, and placement. Mental-health services: Counseling is provided. Transportation: Transportation assistance is provided. Donations: Financial donations may be designated to A.L.L.. Volunteering: Volunteer opportunities are coordinated through Harbor Interfaith.
