The Hoopa Mobile Produce Pantry is operated by Food for People and its staff and is located in the Hoopa Shopping Center parking lot. The Mobile Produce Pantry is a refrigerated truck full of fresh fruits and vegetables that Food for People drives to specific locations across Humboldt County on a monthly schedule. Lifting / Carrying Assistance, Outdoor Service, Pre-Packed Boxes / Bags, Walking Through Fruits & Vegetables, USDA Foods CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that helps people purchase food for good health. CalFresh dollars are automatically loaded monthly onto an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) debit card, which is used at stores and farmers' markets, just like any other bank debit card. There may not be CalFresh Outreach assistance available at food distribution time (though we usually do try to have someone who can).
