90-day family emergency shelter. Serves Homeless families enrolled in the Coordinated Entry System for Families. Gender/access: All parents and children. Age: Household must include a minor child under age 18. Household eligibility: Families with at least one minor child. Intake: Must be enrolled in Coordinated Entry for Families; call 310-831-5729 for placement. Eligibility: Homeless family with a minor child under 18; head of household must attend workshops and save 50 percent of income. Documents: Call for current document requirements. Published capacity: 20 family units; HUD 2024 recorded 52 family beds for the crisis-housing component. Waitlist/availability: Coordinated Entry and current availability determine placement. Meals: Nutrition workshops and family support are provided. Case management: Case management, budgeting, parenting, nutrition, resume writing, interview preparation, and childcare assistance. Housing navigation: Families save 50 percent of income and receive help toward permanent housing. Donations: Financial donations may be designated to the Family Shelter. Volunteering: Volunteer opportunities are coordinated through Harbor Interfaith.
