Family / Youth Shelter — residential maternity and family shelter program
residential maternity and family shelter program. Serves Pregnant women experiencing or at risk of homelessness, including mothers with one young child. Gender/access: Pregnant and parenting women. Age: Residents must be age 18 or older; an existing child may be under age 5. Household eligibility: Pregnant women may enter alone or with one child under age 5. Intake: The person seeking shelter must call directly; eligible applicants are contacted for an application and interview when space is available. Eligibility: Pregnant; age 18 or older; homeless or at risk of homelessness; may have one child under age 5. Documents: Call for current application and document requirements. Published capacity: 5-6 mothers at a time; operator reports serving 12-15 families per year. Waitlist/availability: Applicants are contacted according to program availability. Meals: Basic needs are supported during residence; no public meal schedule. Case management: Weekly case management, attachment and bonding sessions, mentorship, parenting and life-skills classes. Housing navigation: Transition planning toward stable housing after graduation. Medical services: Health and wellness support and prenatal or healthcare access. Mental-health services: Weekly counseling with licensed therapists. Donations: Monetary gifts and item donations for women, babies, and household needs are accepted through official giving channels. Volunteering: Mentorship, service projects, meal provision, and other volunteer roles are available through the official volunteer page.
