24-hour emergency children’s shelter. Serves Children experiencing abuse, neglect, abandonment, trauma, or family crisis. Gender/access: All genders. Age: Birth through age 18. Household eligibility: Child placements; not a family shelter. Intake: Emergency Shelter Referral Form for DCFS; other placement pathways not fully published. Eligibility: Children birth through 18 needing immediate short-term care because of abuse, neglect, or family crisis. Waitlist/availability: Placement availability determined through referral process. Meals: Balanced meals and healthy snacks. Showers: Baths, showers, and hygiene items. Case management: Trauma-informed emergency care and individualized stability support. Medical services: Health and nutrition support. Mental-health services: Trauma-informed care. Donations: Financial donations and donation drives accepted. Volunteering: Volunteer opportunities and tours published.
