basic-center emergency youth shelter. Serves Runaway, homeless, at-risk, delinquent, or family-crisis youth. Gender/access: All genders. Age: Operator serves youth ages 8-17; shelter-specific minimum not separately published. Household eligibility: Youth placements only; family reunification is a program goal. Intake: Youth, family members, courts, law enforcement, schools, churches, or agencies may contact the 24-hour shelter line. Eligibility: Youth at risk of juvenile-court involvement, delinquent youth, runaway or homeless youth, or youth in family crisis. Waitlist/availability: Call 24-hour shelter line for placement availability. Case management: Assessment, casework, crisis intervention, school enrollment, recreation, and individual, family, and group counseling. Housing navigation: Family reunification or alternative-placement planning. Medical services: Health screening. Mental-health services: Counseling and contracted mental-health assessment and therapy. Transportation: Transportation provided. Donations: Private and public gifts support operator services. Volunteering: Mentoring and other roles available with background checks.
